Fire Star Dianthus
Fire Star is a vigorous semi-evergreen perennial that is blanketed with fragrant bright red blossoms that have a darker crimson eye. The fiery blooms rise slightly above a dense mound of glaucous, gray-green foliage. Sporadic reblooming may occur in summer if the plant is deadheaded. It makes an excellent ground cover, a cheerful edging at the front of sunny borders, or in rock gardens.
