'Sulphureum' is highly adaptable and particularly useful in dry shade where other plants might not survive. Excellent for edging and ground cover, it will reach mature height and spread more quickly than other epimediums. Its attractive, heart-shaped leaves emerge burgundy in spring, turning green with distinctive red edges, and then a gorgeous dark red in the fall! Mid to late spring sees delicate, nodding, star-shaped yellow flowers rising above its foliage.
