Gardenias are known as the 'Queens of Fragrant Flowers' with heavily scented, white rose-shaped blooms. The glossy, leathery green foliage is attractive, even when the plant is not blooming. It prefers bright indirect light. Keep the soil moist, but never soggy. It likes heavy feeding with an acid fertilizer. Gardenias benefit from a daily misting. This plant can be moderately toxic to pets.
