Big Blue Lily-turf

Mostly grown for its attractive foliage, Big Blue is an evergreen perennial that forms dense clumps of narrow arching, dark green strappy leaves. In late summer, spikes of small lilac-purple flowers appear above the leaves. The blooms give way to shiny black berries which may persist into winter. Compact and hardy, it can be used as a groundcover or edging plant and will thrive in dry shade.
