'Gold Standard' has been one of the most consistently grown hostas over the last 40 years and is the parent of many distinguished varities. It produces dainty spikes of lavender, bell-shaped flowers in midsummer, but its gorgeous foliage is what really makes this beauty stand out in the shade garden. A large mound of attractive, textured, heart-shaped leaves emerge lime-green in spring and turn yellow in color with distinctive dark green edges throughout the season.
